1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to AI Fate Games ("the Service"), a website offering text-based, AI-driven story games such as Office Romance, Sheriff Mystery (Truth or Taint), and Relegation Zone. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Accounts & Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Providing false or misleading information may result in suspension or termination of your account.

3. Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Use automated tools (bots, scripts, scrapers) to access the Service.
• Attempt to circumvent security measures, usage limits, or access controls.
• Gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems.
• Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, resell, or commercially exploit any part of the Service.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Game content is generated in real time by artificial intelligence through third-party AI providers. AI-generated content is fictional and intended for entertainment only. It may be inaccurate, incomplete, unexpected, or otherwise unsuitable, and any resemblance to real persons, organizations, or events is coincidental. We do not pre-screen AI-generated content and are not responsible for it. You interact with AI-generated content at your own discretion.

5. User-Submitted Content

You retain ownership of the messages and inputs you submit while playing. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process that content as needed to operate and improve the Service, including transmitting it to third-party AI providers to generate responses. You are responsible for the content you submit and must not submit anything unlawful or infringing.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, game concepts, and mechanics, is owned by AI Fate Games and protected by applicable law. Except for the rights expressly granted to you to use the Service, no rights are transferred to you. You may not redistribute or publish the Service or its underlying materials without prior written consent.

7. Free vs. Premium Features

The Service may offer both free features and paid (premium) features. Paid features are not currently available, but we intend to introduce them. Some content or capabilities may be limited to premium users. We may change which features are free or paid at any time.

8. Paid Features, Subscriptions & Billing

When paid features and subscriptions become available, the following terms apply:

• Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (for example, monthly or annually) through our third-party payment processor.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain access to premium features until then. We do not provide pro-rata refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
• Price changes: We may change prices. We will give reasonable notice of price changes, which will apply from your next billing period.
• Refunds: Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that AI-generated content will meet your expectations. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AI Fate Games shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for data loss, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us, if any, in the 12 months prior to the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
